K&K’s Viennese Johann Strauss Gala Concert on its 24th European tour. Viennese, nostalgic, simply good!
It’s an open secret: Strauss keeps you young! Anyone who has ever sampled the Viennese lifeblood of the Strauss dynasty has surrendered themselves to the elixir of life.
The K&K Philharmonic Orchestra indulges this passion with brilliant devotion and visible enthusiasm. Its youthful and fresh interpretations, with a charming lightness and jaunty tempos combine to give a taste of the Austrian lifestyle. Since 1996, over 1.3 million visitors in 19 European countries have made the pilgrimage to the K&K Strauss Gala.
European tour from 28 December 2019 to 7 March 2020 – with 72 concerts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg and, for the first time, England.
Kendlinger’s Philharmonic Orchestra performs with passion – you can feel it during each of their concerts – during every waltz, every polka... Its current Strauss programme is peppered with the finest musical treats: from Frühlingsstimmen (Voices of Spring), to Sphärenklänge (Music of the Spheres), Die Bajadere, Feuerfest, Bauernpolka, Leichtes Blut (Light of Heart), or Der Zigeunerbaron (The Gypsy Baron) – you’ll hear a cornucopia of acoustic delights that will create a distance from everyday life!

The dancers of the Austrian K&K Ballet will add splashes of colour to the sounds of Strauss & Co.: Éljen a Magyár!, Wiener Blut (Viennese Spirit), Im Krapfenwaldl and Rosen aus dem Süden (Roses from the South) - the choreographies by Viktor Litvinov (Kyiv State Opera) refine this concert series with a particularly endearing note. In 2009 Litvinov inherited the legacy of the unforgettable Viennese Gerlinde Dill, who decisively influenced the style of this company and who choreographed the world-renowned Vienna New Year Concert for over 20 years.
