The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen is widely recognised in Europe, among others because of the musical influence of maestro Paavo Järvi, who has been the orchestra’s chief conductor for more than ten years. On this occasion, the orchestra will take to the stage with Jérémie Rohrer, one of the most exciting and versatile conductors of his generation, whose performance of 19th century music have earned him much acclaim. German star pianist Martin Helmchen will perform Brahms’s Piano Concerto No. 1, a tremendously difficult but beautiful work in which the composer combines intense emotion and drama with tumultuous character. The orchestra will regale the audience with Tchaikovsky’s exuberant Symphony No. 3. Enjoy symphonic gold in the superb acoustics of the Elisabeth Hall in the hands of these consummate specialists.
