In recent years, the Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra has developed into one of the region’s most important orchestras. The orchestra’s conductor, the composer Vakhtang Kakhidze, composed a monumental Requiem for the orchestra, the Georgian State Choir, male sextet, female quartet and boy soloist. Experience the Caucasian colouristic effects and poignant character of this extremely moving Requiem.
